    The Scapula - SI10 SI11 SI12

The Scapula—Studies of Tian Zong and related points.

In the Chinese tradition the shoulder girdle represents one’s destiny, and  Tian Zong  encourages that expression,  the actions of man in harmony with his own destiny and his own genetic past, with ‘Heaven’. This implies  human kind  guided by an innate wisdom.

    ST12 - Que Pen

Therefore, thispoint is a collector either for the toracic zone and for the pelvis, to removeand absorb.
We must add to thatthe lowering function of the Lung and the internalization of the energy passingthrough the meridians.

    LR7 - XI GU : Knee Gate
In liver meridian we have an extra point which is: LR7, Xi; Gu, Knee Barrier, name that itself is not interesting, but it can become if we think of the term Gu in relation with other Gu points and the knee, especially from a symbolic point of view.

Acupuncture S.I.d.A - MANIFEST

The Italian school of acupuncture (S.I.d.A.) was founded with the aim to bring together the cultural experiences of various schools of acupuncture and reading of ancient texts of Chinese medicine in the light of classic Taoist interpretation of oral tradition handed down to us from prof. Jeffrey Yuen.

This, followed by a constant and careful clinical verification, inspired us to create easily reproducible treatment schemes that, distancing us from the protocols properties, leaving intact...>

Carpal tunnel

Carpal tunnel
Carpal tunnel
P.E. A 60 years old woman

The consultation reason:
Carpal tunnel S. : hand paraesthesias worse at night.

Other symptoms:
A cervical pain together with irradiations toward the head on the Zu Tai Yang that gets worse during week-end. It started about ten years ago.
Ringing in the left ear.
The climacteric syndrome with hot flashes and sweats.
After a specific question she answers that she had been very shy when she was younger.

Therapy:
GB 23, Zhe (only, completely) Jin (tendons, muscle power)

The analysis of the symptomatology:
The carpal tunnel S., as tendinitis, myopathies, epicondylitis, etc, is the expression of an emptiness of Jing or liver blood caused by:
1. Stress, overwork of the tendon which expresses a deficiency of the liver Jing by the brain “the sea of the marrow”. We are talking about people over 50.
2. No absorption of the Jing of sour foods. It is expressed by onychophagy (the nails are the Jing of the liver) which expresses a Jing of liver need through foods.
3. No refill of liver blood by the Chong Mai as “the sea of the blood”. It is expressed through prophetic dreams.
4. No distribution of the Jing of liver to the periphery by the distinct meridians of Lr and GB.
1. An emptiness of the blood of liver caused by a no blood return of the tendino- muscle Yin meridians to the liver. It is expressed by the restless legs syndrome and the difficulty of falling asleep.

I usually put 5 questions connected to specific points:

1. Local stress = BL 47
2. Onychophagy = CV 10
3. Prophetic dreams = Ki 21
4. Distinct meridian of Lr-GB = CV2, GB 1, opposite (Lr1, GB 44)
2. Restless legs S. and the difficulty of falling asleep= CV 2 -3

In the described clinical case I highlighted the Tai Yang headache which is typical in the week-end. It's a specific symptom of the GB 23 point as MU point of GB, of the exteriorisation of the spring (one of the 4 elements) and it is connected to the Tai Yang level. Another specific symptom of this point is the shyness (it's another expression of no exteriorisation) in particular in the period of childhood.
Thanks to the GB 23 point there is the Jin ideogram, tendon. It pushed me to work through it.

Clinical course
After two acupuncture sessions both the hand paraesthesias and the headache disappeared, and, surprisingly, the ringing in the left ear, which lasted for some months, disappeared too.
The climacteric S. doesn't have any change.
